LECLERC TANK

The "Leclerc" tank, a third generation main battle tank, was designed as the successor to the AMX 30 and is, since it entered into service in 1992, the only heavy tank in the French cavalry.
Produced by GIAT Industries (which would become Nexter) at the Arsenal of Roanne for the French Army but also for the UAE, it is renowned for its extraordinary mobility and ability to fire accurate shots on the move. A specialised recovery version, the DNG/DCL, has also been produced.
